Friendship and stuff

Friendship.

What is it and where does it come from? How do we decide who is a friend and when?

Friendships are so valuable yet cost nothing. Maybe it cost a little time or a lot of time. It's so amazing that we and simply decide that after a while that we are friends. Some friendships are immediate I suppose, and then once they are time tested and continue to last that's when you realize you've invested a lot of time into that relationship. Over the years I've met, known, and become friends with lots of folks. Some of those relationships are stronger than ever and I can't see anything but great things happening in them. Others are stale or aren't going anywhere. That's ok too. Yet others still, become old and the people that you used to spend lots of time with move away or have changes in their lives that cause the friendships to dwindle or just die out. All that is ok. The relationships that matter to you, you will work on. Maybe you work on it by checking on that person regularly or giving them that thing that you know they like. Maybe you call them once a week or a month to do something together such as catching up on what's going on in each others lives. I have some friends that I don't talk to for weeks or months or even longer and as soon as we take again it's like we never missed a beat. It doesn't matter as long as you both are happy and appreciate the other person. Relationships should be healthy and bring your up in life. The people you surround yourself with are who you are or who you will become in time. I'm in love with my best friend, I also have a lot of friend that I love and care deeply for yet others I rarely talk to but still know that they are in my life. I've had to let some toxic friends go (that's really tough because I hate to disappoint people) forever. I'm sorry about that but I had to do it for me. You choose who is in your life and who is a friend. No matter who you choose make sure they are good for you and you are good for them. Now go out there and make some people happy!! - Kris

Sure you should read this.

After a few weeks of shows, the turnout has been amazing and I'm so happy that folks are coming back out after my long break. Talking with the crowd and bringing laughs to the show has been so fun for me and I'd say based on crowd participation that it's being received well. Having people come out who wants to laugh and have fun is what it's all about. Put a show on your calendar and come out share a laugh and sing a few. -Kris

Music and Entertain ment!

So recently I've been thinking a lot about live music and doing what it is that we music people do. I love music and got into it because I had a passion for it but I also started playing guitar and instruments out of boredom and loneliness. I was 12 when I picked up the guitar for the first time. I remember playing Alan Jackson and Randy Travis when I started. Playing one part of a song over and over and over till I nailed it and it was committed to memory. While I was just looking for something to, do I didn't really have a reason for wanting to play but I really enjoyed it. After years (lots of years) of playing and practicing both behind the scenes and in front of people I've really started to look at it differently. Now it's about entertainment as much as music. It's about getting people involved and bringing them together and making fun in the moment.

I can remember going to shows and watch amazing artists and musicians. The ones that really excite me are the ones who have something to share between songs. The ones who have something to say about their travels or life. To be able to recite your album or song perfectly takes a lot of practice and I do truly appreciate that but the shows that really stick in my mind are the ones where the artist or band had something fun funny or interesting to share in-between songs. That being said if I see you at a show of mine I'll be thinking of something fun to talk about or some way to get everyone to gel together and have a blast as a group. The people watching a show are 100% as important to the show as the person or people on the stages. Thanks for reading see y'all soon - Kris

Starting a blog, how hard could it be?

Hello everyone! This is the beginning of a blog that may or may not matter. That being said this blog isn't meant to offend or be disrespectful, it's to place thoughts and ideas. I'll be talking about music and entertainment and things of that sort. Feel free to check in periodically to see what's new on here. Don't expect regular entrees as I will create new content when I feel like it. haha. It's my site I'll do what I want! haha. - Kris
